Dances of Universal Peace – December 3 – 7:15 pm

The Dances are participatory, joyous, multi-cultural events in which people join in singing and dancing in a simple, profound way. They help us to touch the spiritual essence within ourselves and each other. The Dances are easy circle-style movements combined with sacred chants, phrases and songs from the many traditions of the World to promote Peace, Harmony and Healing. The traditions honored in the same circle may include Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Native American, Native African, or the Goddess. Musicians often accompany the dances, and leaders give instructions before dancing and singing. No previous experience is necessary. Bring an open heart and the desire to deepen and join hands with others.

Donations are greatly appreciated for all dance events. Suggested donation is $5, though no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. There are many ways to support the dances besides payment, including assisting with space preparation and clean-up; flowers, altar preparation or other beautification; childcare; greeting at door; publicity, etc.
